Dan Hermes spoke about building books using AI agents.

“One of the standout moments for me was the demo by Dan Hermes, an AI engineer and author, who showcased how he uses CrewAI and large language models not to write his books for him, but to help build momentum and structure in the early phases of his writing.

Dan’s talk, Writing Books with CrewAI, walked us through a full agentic pipeline—from research to drafting to PDF generation—using his open-source Book Factory tool built in Python with CrewAI. It was one of the most practical and detailed demos of agent orchestration I’ve seen, and it really captured the spirit of AI Tinkerers: builders showing real systems that ship.”
